Digital Product Passport (DPP)

A Digital Product Passport or DPP is a digital passport whose subject is a product (e.g., a specific battery, or a particular car).

DPPs have subclasses for particular kinds of products, such as batteries (or cars). We will use terms such as 'digital battery passport' (or digital car passport) to refer to such subclasses.

The fact that a DP also happens to be a particular kind of DPP, e.g. a digital battery passport, affects the kinds of data that it may be expected to contain. Also, because of regulations that may apply for the particular kind of product, such DPs would typically be expected to
