Response Control Policy (RCP)

The Response Control Policy (RCP) of a script outlines how the results of that script's execution are packaged, transmitted, and delivered to the requesting entity.
After the execution of a script, or if it was decided that a request to execute a script has to be denied, the RCP dictates how to formulate the response. This can involve processes such as formatting the result data, choosing the appropriate communication interface and protocol for response transmission, and determining the destination of the result. The RCP plays a significant role in managing error reporting as well, specifying how error messages should be formatted and where they should be directed. The RCP, therefore, not only helps to ensure data integrity and consistency but also enhances the overall communication efficiency within the DP system. As with other policies, a key aspect of the RCP is its flexibility - it is designed to be dynamic, accommodating changes in system design, stakeholder requirements, or regulatory guidelines.
