Active Configuration (AC)

An Active Configuration (AC) is an operationalized instance of a functional blueprint (FB) within a DP system.
An Active Configuration represents the actual implementation of a FBwithin the operational environment of a DP system. It encapsulates the actual parties assigned to the roles defined in the FB, along with the execution of the actions specified within the FB.
Each AC is unique, tailored to its specific context, including any modifications or specifications needed to suit particular circumstances, preferences, or regulations. This could include variations in policies, different data inputs or process parameters, and specific interface configurations.
The AC is also dynamic, continually adjusting to changes in the operational context of the DP system. This includes updates to the DP system, variations in the roles or actions, or alterations in the regulations or requirements that the DP system must adhere to.
Essentially, an Active Configuration is the 'live' or 'working' version of a Functional Blueprint, embodying how the theoretical design of the FB is actualized within the operational environment of a DP system. It is where the blueprint meets the real-world dynamics of the DP system, bringing the intended functionalities to life.
